Privacy Policy

Realize^® is a sanctuary. What you share here — your reflections, your love, your presence — is sacred to us. We collect only what we need, protect it carefully, and will never sell it.

Who we are

Realize is operated by Realization Labs, Inc., a company based in Hawaiʻi. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Realization Labs, Inc. If you have questions, you can reach us at support@torealize.com.

What we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you give us directly, and what we observe as you use the app.

Information you provide:

• Account information — your name and email address when you create an account
• Profile content — your altar image or sacred object photo, and your altar phrase
• Love notes — the reflections, prayers, and gratitude you create within the app, whether written, recorded as a voice or video note, or shared as a photo. Voice notes may be transcribed to text so they can be read as well as heard.
• Love you send — when you send love or amplify love to another person in your circle
• Invite information — when you invite someone, we associate that invitation with your account

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — which features you use, when you complete daily practices, and how you move through the app. We use Mixpanel to understand these patterns at an aggregate level.
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and a device identifier used for push notifications
• Push notification tokens — to deliver notifications when someone in your circle sends you love, sends you a love note, or asks for support

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and personalize your Realize experience
• Deliver your daily practices and reminders
• Send love and notifications between you and the people in your circle
• Understand how the app is used so we can improve it
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your love notes or personal reflections to train AI models, to target advertising, or for any purpose other than delivering your Realize experience.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

• With people in your circle — your name and altar image are visible to people you are connected with in Realize. Love you send is attributed to you.
• With service providers — we use third-party services to help operate Realize, including Mixpanel (analytics), OneSignal (push notifications), and Firebase (infrastructure). These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• In a business transfer — if Realization Labs is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Your love notes and content

Your love notes are private by default. They are visible only to you unless you choose to send or share them with someone in your circle. We do not read your love notes except when required to investigate a safety issue or as required by law.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the Realize app under Settings. You can also request deletion by emailing support@torealize.com. Deletion permanently removes your account, altar, love notes, and personal information.

Children's privacy

Realize is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Camera and microphone

When you record a voice or video love note, Realize uses your device's microphone and camera. We access them only while you are recording, and the recording is used solely to create that love note. You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.

Push notifications

With your permission, Realize sends notifications to help you stay close to your practice and the people in your circle. These include:

• When someone in your circle sends you love
• When someone sends you a love note
• When someone in your circle asks for love or needs support
• Gentle daily reminders to return to your practice

Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device and do not require us to send you anything. The others are delivered through OneSignal, our push notification provider. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work diligently to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of Realize after that point means you accept the updated policy.
